About this kintsugi guide
Kintsugi Workshop Kyoto (kintsugiworkshopkyoto.com) is an independent guide to learning kintsugi in Kyoto. We research and write the guides and point you to classes you can book. We do not run classes, sell tickets, take payments or hold bookings.
The platform you book on
Booking through one of our links creates a contract between you and Viator, GetYourGuide or the operator of the class, made on their website under their terms. The class, the ticket, payment, changes, cancellation and refunds are their responsibility.
Costs
Prices here are starting prices, shown in whole dollars and rounded to the nearest. Where a platform lists another currency we convert at the European Central Bank reference rate, so the figure is close but not exact. Only the price and dates the booking platform displays before payment are binding.
How exact our details are
We check our facts and name our sources. Even so, studios, operators and authorities set session times, meeting points, materials and rules and can change them without notice, and a full room, an illness or an operator's decision can alter or cancel a class. Read the listing you book before you pay.
Tools on this site
Our calculators, checklists, decision helpers, charts, planners and maps are meant to help you plan. What they total or suggest is an estimate, not an offer and not a promise.
Where the booking money comes from
Our links to classes and tours are affiliate links: if you book through one, Viator or GetYourGuide pays us a commission and you pay nothing more. Which classes we feature is our own editorial decision.
Material from outside this site
We link to sources and offers run by third parties; only their operators answer for what they publish.
Ownership
Copyright protects the texts, tools and design of this site. Reading, printing for yourself and linking to a page are fine; anything else needs our permission. Class photos belong to their providers; map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database Licence.
Liabilities
The site is free to use. We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence and harm to life, body or health. Otherwise we are liable only for breach of an essential obligation, and then only for the damage typically foreseeable.
Law, revisions
German law governs these conditions. A consumer living in another country keeps the mandatory consumer protection of that country. We may change these conditions; the version online on the day you visit applies.
